From Battisti Mountain Hut 1,751m 612835E-4902132N, trail 615 climbs northwards along the marly slope separating Ozola and Dolo valleys. Once you reach the small lake (dry during the summer) immediately before Passone (1,839m 613399E-4002833N, 0.20), cross on the left the creek and take trail 607, heading for the big grassy hillock of Piella (meaning in the past "fir tree", extinct in the area since long).
