Autumn in the Park

With Autumn in the Apennines, memory and folklore become culture and tourism

Enhancing the territory also means recovering its most characteristic features, in a journey at the discovery of the local history and the centuries-old traditions.

Autumn in Appennino Tosco-Emiliano National Park is a season rich in colors and products, tastes and suggestions, initiatives and events.

The still mild climate, above all on the Tuscan slope, gives the opportunity to carry out many outdoor activities, enjoying the kaleidoscope of colors that nature offers in this season.

It is possible to follow all the itineraries for trekking, biking, and horse riding. Also the big wall of Pietra di Bismantova, thanks to its southern exposure, gives the opportunity to practice sports climbing, a very appreciated sport attracting a great number of enthusiasts.

Autumn is not at all a decadence season. The woodlands are rich in products: mushrooms, chestnuts, and truffles give the opportunity to organize dozens of festivals and town events where tradition and fun combine to welcome tourists of all ages.

Not by chance, autumn is the season chosen by the National Park for its contest Menù a km zero, for the richness in products and tastes it can offer to the guests of the restaurants.

Autumn also means "Castagneto-scuola", school trips in the area to discover its history, traditions, and local products.

From this year, the National Park has its own blog to inform about all the events of Autunno d'Appennino.
