The territory of Appennino Tosco-Emiliano National Park is characterized by snow and forests, slopes and clearings, peat bogs and forest roads: a landscape of emotions, with several opportunities to carry out outdoor activities and sports, from very difficult to easy ones. The Apennines are a gym in the open air, along the ridge separating Tuscany from Emilia, among the passes at 1,000m and on the summits going beyond the 2,000m, a climatic frontier between Europe and the Mediterranean.
The aims of the National Park include the promotion of cultural and recreational activities compatible with the safeguard of the environment; among them, sports activities and, in particular, those activities implying a direct contact between man and territory.
